okay, so our journey started wednesday the 18th and on tuesday the 19th around 10:20pm we finally got to breathe fresh air! relaxing in our very comfortable hotel room now and wanted to share the start to our adventure as snapped on my iphone! no fancy pictures here, but captured memories of our first introduction to latvia nonetheless!

over 24 hours of travel time later and we made it to latvia and there was such a warm, warm welcome waiting for us!
so glad to be on the ground with all our new friends! ended up having a handful of brothers and sisters on our same seattle/amsterdam/riga flights and quickly starting meeting lots of new faces! {we were so tired and exhausted all at the same time in this photo!}
one of the brothers who helped take charge of our transportation. they got us traveling delegates a charter bus from the airport to hotel; so, so organized!
we are all 'marked' with our very recognizable blue convention i.d. tags! {so glad they're blue not pink!}

that's it for now! I'm not sure how often ill get to share photos, or at least this many along the way of this journey, but I know for certain I'll be compiling a grand slideshow at the end of it all once back home!
tomorrow we have an early art nouveau walking tour and our evening gathering tomorrow night, and of course we are just ecstatic! I've been trying not to bawl my eyes out with each new person I meet but I'm sure tomorrow the tears will flow!
